Crocheted Cabaret
sue me, sue me, what can you do me?
amigurumi see straight through me
i've got no friends only people who pay
laissez, laissez les bonnes temps roullez
in this crocheted cabaret
in this crocheted cabaret
the men that drink the cabernet
they want to take me all the way
they think they want to feel my pain
but then they leave me with the cheap champagne
in this crocheted cabaret
in this crocheted cabaret
they pay, they drink, they listen, they leave
forever i'll grieve with my heart on my sleeve
i'm only a soldier who makes her own cage,
the war that i wage is the life on the stage
of this crocheted cabaret
of this crocheted cabaret
knit me knit me try to get me
but don't even think about tryin' to forget me
don't try to think about anyone else
i'll see you in hell, oh well, I wish you well
on your wild and winding way
to the crocheted cabaret
oh, this crocheted cabaret
oh, this crocheted cabaret
nobody's watching, nobody sees
only the dolls hear my soprano pleas
stitching my name, weaving my mark
spinning a yarn long lost to the dark
day and night, night and day
you know i've long since lost my way
that's how i found this cabaret
that's how i found this cabaret
oh, this crocheted cabaret
